Internet scams OMG..lets avoid it

Hey guys,
Now this is probably one of the most important piece of information you need if you have ever been a victim of credit or debit card scams. Or If you plan to be a victim of one of these....then read this haha...you might change you ideas..

Ok so first thing I will share is what causes people to be a victim of scams..
1) Its called Skimming...but generally speaking scamming your debit card
when you use your debit card at a bank, you know they have these security cameras...But have you ever thought about the ATM machines at convenience stores, I dont think so...those stores might/might not have any security cameras...but they might have a camera nearby taking your personal information..POSSIBLE...how abt a tiny camera taking the pic of your debit card and getting your debit card number...once they have that debit card number they can hack into your account...

Solution
a) Use only ATM's at banks...

2) Fake ads.. I have experienced myself that few ads on the websites like kijiji.ca and local job search engines are fake...all they aim for is making u interested in the job by promising you a good pay and a flexible schedule and then a lot of people who read that ad go reply to the ad..next thing you know is that your personal information like your name, date of birth, your hobbies etc, etc are being asked...and when you fill out those your information goes to a person whoz unknown to u..he might/might not use it to guess your passwords for your online bank accounts, your paypal accounts or getting access to your emails...and Thus ure prone to get screwd big time here...

I applied to one of these companies online when I didnt know about how these things worked...so in like 1-2 days I found out that companies like these are fake...but what happened was that a week later I recieved a letter from this company...A written piece of shit...I saw that ad...they asked for $34.50 for the learning kit and I had to pay through check..when I googled the address they gave me I found out that they have a UPS store at that address...But first thought that came to my mind when I saw a written piece of info from a company was that OMG its real...but then guess what...FAKE ughhhh

So solution is...
a) when you see an ad from a company...google info about that company first...
b) if the email ID of the company you are contacting ends with gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc...its most likely a fake ad...because most companies have their own domain...like fido.ca, ibm.com, microsoft.com etc
c) Even if you get a written piece of shit from any company...make sure you google their address, phone number, etc using yellow pages and other search engines...

3) companies that offer high pay for sitting at home and working on internet....BULLSHIT..
browse through internet and there are hundreds of websites that tell you ...OH work for us and we pay u 40-50$/hr or even more...and thats equivalent to what professionals earn...all these websites ask you is for 10$ or 20$ that you pay for their LEARNING KIT from your credit card and u learn all the procedures to learn how to make this easy money...When I searched google with name of these few companies as a keyword I found out people are crying over giving their money to these websites and figuring out how to get their money back...but guess what...they can't because they dont even know who was the person that took their credit card number...that is another place where you get screwd...

Solution...
a) Don't run for easy options like that...If earning money was this easy everyone would have a sportscar in their garage and enough money to buy a rose for their girlfriend everyday HAHA...

4) One you give out your personal information...you become more vulnerable to spam attacks...for example most people have their passwords named on their loved ones names, Date of birth or their own  names/ DOB etc, So there are a lot of survey sites on google that tell you ok do our survey and earn money...most of them are original...few of them are fake...and if u ever fell into a fake site like that, you will be asked questions on how many members in your family, their names, date of birth everything....

this might seem small but you might be giving out your password indirectly...I will give u an example of a scam
When you give out information like this you give out ur EMAIL ID + your personal information...now first thing the BAD guy ( LOL!) would do is try it in your paypal..he has your email ID...he puts in there...and next thing he will click on would be OOPS I FORGOT MY PASSWORD...and then he would try answering using the information using your personal info he got...if his luck works...he will get into your account...and if he is smart...he will slowly take out a few cents or a dollar from your account everyday and send it to his account...or might use up all your account money, transfer it to his account and close your account..he can do it because he is incharge of your account right now..

So guys watch out for that, save your ass in things like that....best tool is to use google before you proceed..

I will keep updating this blog...I have more information but I am tired right now haha ...so be safe and enjoy life...
Another thing I will tell you guys is about the websites that genuinely pay you...I have a list of those as well...I will give you those website links and let you know how/why they are safe....

TILL THEN STAY SAFE AND I hope you all got some knowledge from this blog...If you did just click on the ads on the side and at the bottom...Dont worry these are ads by google..I got them on this page using google and they are safe...
